Thank God I wasn’t at the commons today with the Pro-Life display. I would have been so upset, I am now. I don’t know how I would have made it through the day. I’m kind of disappointed in VCU right now, it’s one thing for people to voice their opinions, that’s they’re right, but did they consider the impact this could have on people walking by? Those images, the comparison, damn, imagine if you were a woman who had just had an abortion for whatever the reason, it could very well be you had to for a medical reason, and then you had to walk by that on your own campus!? People go on and on about how they want to make VCU a safe campus for students, they have their own police force and escort service and all that, but what about making sure your students are psychologically safe? Those images can really fuck with people’s brains.
